The following are some of the highlights:
- March 2025
- The Indian hotel sector experienced a moderate correction in March 2025, following a February that was exceptionally strong.
- In March 2025, the occupancy growth trend in India was mixed, with Bengaluru and Chennai leading in terms of year-on-year gains. Gurugram, however, showed a more positive pattern.
- In 10 of the 13 major Indian cities, ARR grew by double digits. Hyderabad led the pack and Goa & Kolkata witnessed declines.
Q1 2025:- Indian hotel sector had a good performance in Q1 CY2025 compared with the same period last year.
- Bengaluru recorded the highest occupancy increases compared to Q1 CY2024.
- Except for Goa, all major markets recorded a strong increase in average rates year-on-year during Q1 CY2025.
