We love trying out the specialty foods of different regions, but after a while, we crave Asian food. We are comforted by the familiarity and transported back to childhood.
We recently visited Seattle to learn more about the Asian community’s history and culture. Since Seattle’s founding in 1889, Asian immigrants settled around the historic center, including Chinatown and Little Saigon. The heritage farming communities of Bainbridge Island, Kent, Auburn and Carnation Valleys, as well as Bainbridge Island, also had a great influence on the founding of Pike Place Market.
