    How to catch game

    Toronto Tempo

Tempo is the perfect reason to visit the city during the warm weather months. From tip-off until the final buzzer, expect packed crowds, live DJ sets, and an energetic atmosphere. The team is based at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in a historical arena located on the Exhibition Place grounds.

    Toronto Sceptres

You’re about to lose your voice if you haven’t seen a PWHL match in person. The Toronto Sceptres The hockey team shares the Coca-Cola Coliseum as its home arena with the Tempo during the winter and fall months. The Sceptres, as the first professional hockey league to arrive in town, quickly developed one of the most passionate fans bases in the league.

    AFC Toronto

AFC Toronto The new Northern Super League is Canada’s first women’s professional soccer league. A trip to a game has become one of the most exciting summer activities in the city. The NSL is a great addition to the city’s sporting calendar. Matches are played at York Lions Stadium from spring to fall, and some games will be held at BMO Field. FIFA World Cup Matches this summer. The experience of sunlit games in an outdoor stadium is both a sporting event and an alfresco hangout.

    National Bank Open

Toronto is a hotbed of women’s sport this summer! Every year, there are a number of women’s sports events in Toronto. National Bank Open Montreal and Toronto are alternated as the host cities for this tennis tournament. Lucky for Torontonians, the women are in town this year, playing at Sobeys Stadium, in the north end of Toronto, from August 1–13. Personally, I think a tennis match is one of the chicest ways to spend a warm afternoon—relaxing, entertaining, and the perfect excuse to put together a cute outfit. If you happen to be in town during that time, it’s worth checking out the tournament.

Nobu Hotel Toronto: One of its luxurious rooms

    What to do?

Nobu Toronto is a popular choice for female athletes, and with good reason. The Nobu Toronto is an elegant luxury hotel that is deliberately discreet. Its hospitality is also top-notch. The rooms are designed with warm wood tones and cove lighting. They also have deep blue accents. It’s one of a few hotels in the city that truly feels like a home. Every detail seems considered in advance—from a glass of water always waiting at my bedside to my bath salts being seamlessly refreshed before I could look for them the next day. For a five-star stay—and the possibility of a celebrity sighting—this is the spot.

The rooftop pool in the summer is exclusively reserved for guests. It’s a quiet escape above the city buzz. There’s also Valerie, the hotel’s three-level rooftop bar, with sweeping views over Toronto—home to a mix of staycationers, couples, and business professionals. If you are in Toronto to watch a match, making pre-and post-game arrangements will be easy because the hotel is only minutes from the Coca-Cola Coliseum.

Visitors planning a weekend filled with sports in Toronto will find 1 Hotel Toronto to be the ideal balance between calm and accessibility. The hotel is located just a few minutes away from the Coca-Cola Coliseum and feels removed from downtown, but still close to all the action. The lobby is what I love most about the hotel: it’s warm, lush and anchored in natural wood. There are cozy corners to work, enjoy cocktails or catch up with friends prior to heading out to a game.

Nuit Regular chef, Kiin The restaurant offers one of the finest Thai dining experiences available in the city. Perfect for a celebratory post-game dinner, Kiin feels like having a pretty older sister—polished, composed, and effortlessly put together. It’s soft and earthy inside, with Royal Thai–inspired dishes like Chor Muang (jasmine flower dumplings) and Gaeng Chuchee Tauhu (vegan tofu chuchee curry) that are almost too beautiful to eat. The menu has always impressed me, even though I first visited the restaurant six years ago. I recently took my mom for her birthday, and we opted for the tasting menu—the whole experience felt almost ethereal.
