Uber has announced the launch of Uber Boat and Uber Copter in Sorrento. Visitors can use this app to travel on land, by sea or air throughout Southern Italy during the summer. Uber will allow users to book the new services through its app starting on June 25.
Uber Reserve will be launched on the Amalfi coast, giving riders the option to book their rides in advance. This allows them to beat the crowds and avoid the long lines at the Salerno Airport. Uber Copter, and Uber Boat are only available on weekends during the summer.
Uber Copter allows travelers to pre-book private helicopter round-trips to Capri, departing from a helipad exclusive to Sorrento. The service allows groups of up to six people to travel in a dual-pilot helicopter for €250 (about $290) per person and includes door-to-door transportation to and from the helicopter.
Uber Boat is a great option for travelers looking to take a trip out at sea along the Amalfi coastline. It includes a personal captain, snacks and drinks, as well as a four-hour charter. The boat will leave from Sorrento Marina.
