The town of Wyoming is located in the south-central part of the state, near the Snowy Range. Brush Creek Ranch. The 30,000-acre award-winning destination—named the best resort in Wyoming By: Travel + Leisure readers in both 2023 and 2024—is a working cattle ranch with Blue-Ribbon fly-fishing, and a 600-acre private ski area.
In January 2025, I was able to visit this ranch and see for myself that it is indeed a luxury, all-inclusive retreat, complete with a wine cellar, creamery, greenhouse and distillery. In the quiet moments of the ranch, the true luxury became apparent: taking the first turn in a slope all my own and riding a horse as soft flakes of snow fell. Brush Creek Ranch is a place where boots and bathrobes coexist—where adventure is as much about slowing down as it is saddling up.
Platte Canyon’s Glamping resort is now open, and the whole experience will be enhanced.
The riverfront glamping site, which is available for stays beginning June 15, is Brush Creek’s most secluded, most intimate lodging—with all the hallmarks of a five-star property. The riverfront glamping site and luxury yurt is tended to by a private host and chef who handle all the details. The yurt can only accommodate eight guests and is available until mid-October.
The Platte Canyon Resort offers all meals, as well as two ranch activities per day, such a horseback riding, fishing, or archery.
The new glamping lodge joins Brush Creek’s other three established lodges, including Magee Homestead – an adults-only wellness resort with Forbes Five Star accommodations – French Creek – an Orvis-endorsed lodge for fly-fishing, wingshooting, and Western lodges – and the flagship Lodge and Spa, which features centralized dining and a saloon as well as private cabins, Western lodge rooms, and Western lodges.
