Cruise industry is constantly evolving and the biggest way is to keep introducing larger and bigger ships every year.
When we look at the gross tonnage, or GT for short, which is defined by the International Maritime Organization as a nonlinear indicator of a vessel’s total internal volume (Vi), we can see that a single cruise line dominates in the top 10 list of cruise ships operating in 2025.
Three of these 10 ships were introduced as recent as 2024. It’s good news for those who want to cruise on larger and more bold ships.
