What is Real ID?
A Real ID, or Enhanced ID, is a federally mandated identification card. Real ID Act passed in 2005 by Congress following 9/11. It was designed to increase national safety and create a standard identification system throughout the 50 states.

When is the latest deadline to apply for Real ID?
The deadline for Real ID compliance is May 7, 2020.
Only airline passengers who have a Real ID or Enhanced ID as well as a valid passport, passport cards, or any other form of TSA approved identification will be able to board domestic flights. Those attempting to board a flight with a driver’s licence or non-driver identification issued by their state will be denied entry at the airport.
Can I travel to the U.S. if I don’t have a real ID?
