UK: Hotel, health and wellness club Village Hotels acquired the former DoubleTree Hilton Sheffield Park at Chesterfield Roud South, Sheffield.
The property will undergo multi-million-pound renovations and remain closed until the work is completed. The property will reopen in the year 2026.
It will offer a range of amenities including a Village Health & Wellness Club, a Pub & Grill and an on-site Starbucks, as well as meeting and event space.
This is the first time Village has acquired a property in Sheffield and follows its recent acquisition of the former Crowne Plaza hotel at Caversham Bridge in ReadingThe opening of the new, due in December, is expected to take place this year.

Village Hotel Solihull and Ashton are also undergoing extension works that will add 48 new rooms. Village Hotel Leeds South will also begin construction.
It forms part of Village’s £82 million refurbishment programme, focussed on upgrading all existing assets.
