Matt Goldberg, Tripadvisor’s CEO, raised the possibility of a partnership between Viator Experiences (relaunched) and Viator. Goldberg suggested that such collaborations could benefit the entire experiences industry by raising awareness. Viator is forming partnerships with major platforms like Booking.com, TUI Musement and Booking.com. Airbnb Experiences have struggled to grow and are now targeting a broader customer base. These alliances are a reflection of an industry trend in which competitors often collaborate to increase distribution and profitability even though each company pursues a different strategy.
