    The President of the United States Donald Trump has banned citizens from 12 countries. entering the US Under a new Proclamation, signed Wednesday, June 4.

    The ban on travel will include Afghanistan, Chad (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Equatorial Guinea (Eritrea), Haiti, Iran, Libya Myanmar, Somalia Sudan and Yemen.

    A further seven countries—Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela—are subject to partial bans.

    Trump says that the list will be revised regularly. He said countries may be removed from the list if they make “material improvements.” Others could be added to the list if new threats are discovered around the globe.

    In certain cases, citizens of countries that are on the ban list may be allowed to enter the US. In the following situations, the ban does not apply:
