    Capella Singapore

    • Capella Singapore is one of the top hotels in Singapore. best hotels in Singapore According to the data for the past five years T+L’s World’s Best Awards survey.
    • The hotel offers spacious rooms with Aesop products and private balconies. They offer views of the South China Sea, or lush gardens.
    • Dining options include Cantonese, Italian and a more casual Happy Hour-style menu.
    • Three pools are available to guests, as well as access to Palawan Beach.
    • The hotel offers a tranquil environment, but is also a short distance from the city center of Singapore and Changi Airport.

For a New Yorker like me, “going outside the city” means dealing with multiple modes of transport, carrying a suitcase up subway steps, and experiencing stress. My stay in Singapore was made even more enjoyable when I learned that I could have all the rest and relax I needed within 15 minutes of the city’s centre. Capella Singapore It is already paradise.

My first visit to Singapore began with a tour of the city. the sights of the cityMarina Bay is my base. Capella, which readers of T+L have voted among the top 10 hotels in Singapore, was my destination. best hotels in Singapore After five years of silence, I wanted some peace.

The resort is situated on Sentosa IslandThe island is home to resorts, shops, restaurants and even Universal Studios, an amusement park. While tourists and locals can find many modern attractions in the island, Capella is steeped with history. It was once a British Royal Artillery officer’s base and quarters in the 1880s. The hotel pays homage to its history with colonial touches and touches of architecture.

Fittingly, sentosa The word “peace” or “tranquility”, in Malay means exactly what I found.

Below is my Capella Singapore hotel review.

    The Rooms

As I entered my Premiere Seaview, I felt an immediate sense of calm after days spent in the bustle and noise of the mainland. The space was a tranquil oasis with a view of the South China Sea and a neutral aesthetic.

All rooms have either a balcony, or terrace. I was able to see mine through the shower and tub area. It had Aesop bathroom products. It’s perfect for couples, with its dual sinks and closet, but it was nice to have the entire room all to myself.

There is also a fully-stocked minibar, coffee machine, desk, and couch as extra seating. In terms of technology, I was able to watch Netflix shows on my TV, thanks to Chromecast.

The Constellation room has a rooftop Jacuzzi. There are also 40 Garden rooms. Two Colonial Manors and the Capella Manor, which are separate buildings, were renovated recently and provide a high level of privacy at the edge of the 30-acre resort.

    Food and Drink

Three restaurants, a lounge, cocktail bar and room service are available on-site. During my stay, I enjoyed in-room dining and two of the on-site restaurants. It’s nice to have dinner in your bathrobe every now and then.

After arriving, I went to Cassia, a stunning, modern Cantonese restaurant, served me a soup and dim sum from the chef’s selection. Cassia also has two prix-fixe menus.

I stopped by as well Bob’s BarA covered outdoor space with a view of one of our pools. After a few snacks including chips and a crunchy mix of pretzels, I moved onto wok-fried cubes of beef with pepper sauce, onions, and peppers over steamed white rice. There are many options on the menu, including wagyu, butter-chicken masala, pasta, and more. The hotel is known for its peacocks, which are often seen roaming the grounds.

Even though I haven’t eaten at Fiamma, the Italian restaurant, I peeked inside on the weekend and saw the space buzzing with guests enjoying its signature Champagne Brunch.

In the elegant afternoon tea room, you can enjoy cakes and other small treats. Living RoomThe hotel is housed in an 1880s colonial bungalow. For guests who want to enjoy a stylish, vibrant space, The Pineapple Room It’s the perfect place. The elevated bar serves inventive cocktails, an extensive wine selection and bar fare such as truffle fries or chicken satay.

    The Spa

Capella Singapore’s Auriga Spa Serenity is the essence of this place. My entire experience there—from entering the beautiful and calming space to my perfectly curated massage and lounging in the spa’s relaxation room—completely erased any lingering discomfort from my 19-hour flight and busy days as a tourist.

The spa has a wide range of treatments such as body wraps, facials and rituals including sound therapy. There are also facilities like vitality pool and herbal steam room.
