    • Staying in these two modern cabins on the Pacific coast of Chile is the best way to experience the stunning Pacific coastline of the country.
    • The cabins were designed by Chile’s Croxatto & Opazo Arquitectos and offer commanding views of the ocean as well as modern conveniences.
    • Although the cabins are located in a quiet and isolated area, they’re only about 20 minutes away from the nearest town.

Blessed with dramatic landscapes Snow-capped mountains, arid desserts, thick forests and a burgeoning scene for avant-garde cuisine and wine Chile’s vibrant cities are a destination that will inspire lovers of culture and adventure. The wild coasts of this South American nation are easily accessible, thanks to its sliver thin profile.

Those who yearn for a front seat to calm ocean vistas might consider staying in one of these remote cabins—hidden gems nestled right on Chile’s Pacific coast, near the village of Matanzas. Dubbed La Tagua You can also find out more about the following: La Loica, this pair of seaside structures were designed by Chile’s Croxatto & Opazo Arquitectos as boutique accommodations that sit right in the middle of a steep incline, offering guests a commanding view of the ocean.

The tiny homes were designed to look like a series of towers, with stacked cubes of timber clad on stilts. Double-height interiors emphasize the breathtaking scenery and provide shelter from strong wind.

These contemporary cabins were built using a mix of woods from the area, including reclaimed railroad planks.

It’s easy to imagine that, due to the remote location, an all-terrain is the best vehicle for the trip. The only way to reach the cabins is via the set of stairs built into the mountainside.

The ground floor of every cabin has floor-to ceiling glass windows to maximize the visual connection with the water. It’s here that we find the living room, dining area, kitchen, and bathroom—all of which are appointed with all the modern conveniences needed to make a meal or a hot cup of tea or coffee.

Both cabins also feature indoor fireplaces. They are ideal for watching the sun sink into the horizon or enjoying a cozy evening. After the sunset, guests can climb the ladder up to the lofted sleeping space for a relaxing night, listening to waves.

Within 20 minutes of the cabins guests can reach a variety of restaurants located in the beautiful town of Matanzas. The area is perfect for those who love windsurfing and kitesurfing. Caleta Matanzas Beach is one of Chile’s most popular places for water sports.

Those looking for quieter activities such as kayaking, birdwatching or fishing may prefer to visit the Humedal de La Vega de Pupuya wildlife park or the La Boca biodiverse wetlands, which are home to migratory raptors from across the Americas. The region of Chile offers a wealth of natural beauty that is right on its doorstep.

Rates for nightly stays in either La Tagua The following are some examples of how to use La Loica start at $101.
