    This New App Lets You Take Private Audio Tours From Top Guides in Iconic European Destinations—and It’s Free

    New app allows travelers to have a private experience in a new city without spending astronomical amounts of money.

    The app is called Le Walk, a location-based storytelling experience, uses artificial intelligence and local guides to curate captivating stories. The app was developed by two former TikTok staffers and is available for free download on iOS Guides can scale up their service by using this guide.

    Aaron Sekhri is a cofounder of Le Walk. In a press release, Aaron Sekhri said that “Le Walk is about elevating travel.” Travel + Leisure. “Our mission is to make world-class guides accessible to everyone, no matter their cost, time or language.

    The founders of the social media company had a goal to encourage travelers to “look up” instead of scrolling aimlessly on their phones.

    When users log in, they will find on-demand audio walks where a professional tour guide will narrate directly into their headphones—without the hassle of having to be in a big group or struggling to hear the tour guide. Enjoy a guided tour of the Louvre’s couture exhibition with the “Haute & Historical” tour, for example, or hang out with “Emily in Paris” on a walk through the popular show’s iconic filming locations. And WWII buffs will find the “Is Paris Burning?” This tour “reveals the present scars of Nazi occupation as well as gripping stories about resistance, betrayal, survival and survival.”

    Tours are offered in many different subjects, including art, architecture, history, and culinary tours (think viral TikTok Butter).
