Thankfully, U.S. News & World Report has you covered—it just released its annual Best Vacations rankings. One unexpected destination was the winner.
The news publisher ranks 1,500 destinations each year in a variety of categories. One category highlights the “underrated” places around the country. The publication has a ranking system which takes into consideration readers’ ratings and the score assigned by its travel editors to each location. Travel editors score each destination across 10 categories—like culture, food, and adventure. This particular list also included other factors such as crowd size and number of things to see at each destination.
