    • Tennessee’s airport is ranked number one, but airports from all over the U.S. are also included on the list.
    • The study examined play areas, nursing stations, restaurants, family friendly security lines, and more.

When it comes to airport designs, the comfort of children—and the adults charged with looking after them—barely feels like it was a consideration. The number of play areas and breast feeding stations is never enough, while getting through airport security can be a real nightmare. But not all airports are created equalA new study from iCandy reveals that one southern airport is the most family-friendly in the United States.

Memphis International Airport, or MEM, was ranked number one in the United States thanks to its nine dining options, five nursing areas, and security services. The airport is ranked first in the United States despite not having strollers for rent and only one play area. The airport was ranked No. 23 worldwide.)

Create its Little Flyers IndexThe company analyzed more than 100 international terminals. It looked at play areas, nursing stations, restaurants and options for family-friendly security lines.

Palm Springs International Airport, which was tied at No. 26 on the list, is also a great airport for families. The 26th airport on the list also has nine restaurants and a play area. Memphis, too, offers security options. Palm Springs, however, only has one breastfeeding station.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, DCA, in Washington D.C. is the next airport, offering 43 restaurants with a choice of five breastfeeding stations and strollers to rent. Families with young children are forced to stand in line alone as there is no option for a family-friendly security.

According to the Little Flyer Index, these are the 10 most family-friendly airports across the United States.

    1. Memphis International, Memphis (Tennessee) (No. 23 worldwide) 23 worldwide)
    2. Palm Springs International Airport in Palm Springs, California (No. 26 worldwide) 26 worldwide)
    3. Ronald Reagan Washington National, Washington, D.C., Virginia 27 worldwide)
