    New Report: These are the Top Destinations for Vegans Around the World

    These Are the Best Destinations in the World for Vegan Travelers, According to a New Report

    About 26 million vegans Sprinkled around the world. The Vegan Society released a new report stating that vegans can travel to any place they choose. However, there are some key places that they may want to look at for their next trip.

    In January, The Vegan Society released its Veganism Around the World report, which offered a comprehensive analysis of how “plant‑based living is shaping global culture, travel, and commerce.” The report, the team explained, came together through “desk research to build a robust database of cross-national data,” along with original surveys across 10 countries to show  “where veganism is gaining ground and why it matters for the future of food, hospitality and business.” 

    In this data, the team ranked top vegan travel destinations on the basis of vegan-friendly eating per capita. New Zealand Plabita Flores, co-owner and Chef at Forest Restaurant The following are some examples of how to use Auckland. 

    “Florence, a vegan, told us, “We are fortunate to have a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, which, is of course, very important for cooking food without using animal products. Travel + Leisure. “Because we grow so much produce locally, it retains a delicate, special quality. It makes my work easier.” 

    As Florence noted, New Zealanders are also fortunate to have really mild seasons, which means plenty of access to a greater variety all year round. Florence said, “I can imagine that cooking vegan food when you live in a country with frozen winters would be very difficult as it relates to accessing good quality local produce.” 

    Florence, despite her restaurant being the best in the country for vegan foods explained that the vegan movement is still “pretty slowly” moving forward. Florence explained that there are only a handful of vegan restaurants in New Zealand. Her restaurant is vegetarian but not strictly vegan. “That being said, we serve quietly about 95 percent of fully vegan food. However, keeping a little bit of dairy on our menu helps us get more hesitant customers through the door. 

    Florence said that food is “above everything else” meant to make people feel happy. Florence shared that food is meant “above all else to make people happy.”

    The Vegan Society also named Taiwan as a top nation. “It leads the world in fully vegan restaurant per capita,” it said. Iceland, Europe’s most notable nation, boasts 43 percent of its restaurants offering at least one vegan meal, while Portugal ranks No. The Vegan Society ranked Portugal as the second-best country in terms of fully vegan restaurants per capita.

    There are excellent vegan dishes available almost everywhere in the U.S. This story is also a great excuse to travel to New Zealand.
