AirHelp has released its annual AirHelp Score, which ranks the performance of airlines and their passenger experience. AirHelp’s team combined data from several sources to calculate the scores of airlines. This included their on-time performance, which is based on the airline’s arrivals and departures statistics, and whether they arrive on time, are late or early, and claim processing, which measures how well airlines process claims and are likely to compensate for lost luggage, among other disruptions. AirHelp also asked for feedback from passengers on their most recent experience. The responses included thousands of responses across 54 countries. They rated each airline based on its “food quality, comfort, crew, and service.”
After reviewing the information, it is named Qatar Airways AirHelp’s top performer, with a score of 8.16/10. The team explained that Qatar Airways had fought its way back up to the top position, which it held between 2018 and 2023. It only dropped to number two in 2024.
Next up on the list, we have Etihad AirwaysAirHelp Scored 8.07 in 2024, and jumped from its 11th position. Top three includes Virgin AtlanticIt was followed by Qantas, KM Malta Airlines, Aeromexico, Oman Air, Saudia, Brussels Airlines, and LOT Polish Airlines, rounding out the top 10. Qantas was the next airline in line, followed by KM Malta Airlines (as well as Aeromexico), Oman Air (as well as Saudia), Brussels Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines.
AirHelp stated that “U.S. based airlines have fallen a little in the overall rankings this year. None of them ranked in the top 10. American Airlines was first U.S. based airline on the list.
