Air New Zeland unveiled a series of elegant uniforms created by the designer born in New Zealand Emilia Wixed. The new wardrobe, which is scheduled to wear about 6000 employees in their adventures all over the world, features hand -dedicated prints from Tā Moko Te Rangitu Netana, which is famous for developing Maori tattoos in a world -recognized artistic form over the past three decades.
Zi Air New Zealand has always symbolizes the country’s culture. However, the new group embodies the heritage of a strong airline and a deep feeling of pride in A whilearoa through bold printing, color and great design. The main pieces in the collection include a beautiful print dress, width of the Wickstead mastery of its craft and the complex and self -printing Kōwhai print. The collective thread shirt is another amazing design, which includes PURAPURA Whetū styles that aim to wear by any cabin crew or Earth employees.
“For us, this is more than just a uniform. It is a celebration of our people, our culture and values. Air New Zealand was never about standing or glaring between us. Belonging,” said Greg Voran, CEO of Air New Zeland.
Wixed, whose work appeared in titles like Flavors and The British boom Wearing style icons like Catherine, Amira Wales, said: “The design of the New Zealand Air Stadium was an incredibly personal project for me. At the core, there was deep respect for heritage and a unique identity for the people of New Zealand and its land. I, a good design should always cause a feeling of pride and occasion, and I think this official uniform will do so completely.”
An experiment on the plane is scheduled to start in May 2025 before the new outfit was launched via the New Zealand Air Network from 2026.
