    • The center opens just in time to host several major events, including the FIFA World Cup in 2026, the Super Bowl of 2027, and the Olympics in 2028.

The following are some of the ways to get in touch with us Los Angeles, people often say that the true test of someone’s love is their willingness to pick you up from Los Angeles International Airport—enduring the traffic of LAX for a friend or loved one requires a certain selflessness and bravery. Now that the LAX/Metro Transit Center has opened, it could be a bit easier to get to and from airport.

The new LAX/Metro Transit Center can be found just outside of the airport near Aviation Boulevard and 96th Street. It is also close to the LAX Rental Car Center. The new transit centre is directly connected to Metro’s K and C metro lines. The C line link L.A.’s West Side The K Line runs eastward from El Segundo, where LAX is located, to Downey. The K Line goes north-south, from Jefferson Park to Redondo Beach. It’s not just about providing easy access to LAX/Metro Transit Center. The transit center also fills in a major gap on the Metro rail network, by acting as a hub. the C and K lines.

Travelers will also be able hop on to 14 different bus systems at the new station. These include the Big Blue Bus Santa Monica, Culver Bus, Torrance Transit system, and Gardena’s GTrans.

In 2026, the Automated People Mover will open, and travelers will then be able take the APM train directly from the transit center into LAX. Shuttles will be running every 10 minutes from the transit center to the airport. They will pick-up and drop-off guests on the lower level of both terminals.

If you want to use Los Angeles’ public transport system, whether you take the bus or metro, you will need a Tap Card—you can purchase tickets and passes at any metro station or add the card to your Apple or Google Wallet for easy use. If you’re driving into LAX from out of town, you could park your car at one of the L.A. Metro System’s many Park & Ride facilities, and then hop on a Metro line to get to your flight.

The new The LAX/Metro Transit Center opened just in time for major events like the 2026 FIFA World CupThe 2027 Super BowlThen, there is the 2028 Olympics.
