    • Hilton Curio Collection opens its first all-inclusive resort on the Dominican Republic’s oceanfront in June 2025.
    • The resort is located in Miches, a lesser-known city. It will have 500 rooms, some of which include private plunge pools. There are also four swimming pools, waterparks, spas, kids’ and teens clubs, and a spa.
    • With six restaurants and six bars, guests can savor Taíno- and Caribbean-inspired cuisine, indulge in Thai flavors, or enjoy al fresco dining.
    • The resort’s 5,000-square-foot Acana spa, inspired by Indigenous Taíno traditions, will feature 11 treatment rooms and a series of water-based therapies, along with a hair salon.

Other resort highlights include four swimming pools, four water slides, a sprawling beach with cabanas, and a spa that draws inspiration from Taíno culture, once the Caribbean’s most populous Indigenous people.

    Manuela Fahringer told Travel + Leisure, “The region has remained untouched by mass tourist, making it the ideal destination for travelers who are looking for a peaceful, authentic, and luxurious escape.” “We are incredibly excited for guests to immerse themselves in our thoughtfully curated Taíno experiences, from our elevated culinary offerings featuring locally inspired cuisine to our world-class wellness programs. The secluded setting, oceanfront bungalows and beachfront pools create a unique sense of tranquility.

    Dining options are diverse, with six different culinary experiences, including a Thai spot, a Taíno restaurant serving Indigenous Caribbean food, and a beach grill with live-fire cooking and al fresco dining. Six bars and lounges are available, ranging from a pool bar to a swim-up bar. Dominican-inspired cocktail classes can be taken for a more interactive experience.

    Coki Cove Kids’ Club offers workshops on marine conservation, a bakery for kids, and the opportunity to make your own recyclable binoculars. Palmchat’s teens club has a virtual reality room and a movie theater for older children. There are also plenty of activities for the whole family, including pickleball, paddle ball, and a pool with water slides.

    The fitness center features yoga classes and other activities, while the 5,000 square foot spa has 11 treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy circuit and cold and hot plunges.

    Sustainability initiatives are at the heart of the property’s culture. Fahringe stated that “our resort integrates eco friendly design elements such as energy efficient infrastructure and water conserving initiatives.” Our participation in turtle and beach preservation programs and our partnerships with conservation programmes ensure that Miches’ beautiful natural environment remains intact for future generations.
