The Matrimandir is open to everyone, unlike the Inner Chamber This space is exclusively for meditation. There are strict guidelines in place to avoid distractions from everyday life and religious practices. The experience is free and begins with an introduction to Matrimandir followed by 10 minutes silence in the Lotus Pond. Guests are guided into the Inner Chamber. It is a white spherical space wrapped in silence with a large crystal globe at its centre. The ambience is intended to increase focus and allows 15 uninterrupted minutes of meditation. The guests are then guided out to enjoy the quiet area of the gardens. Reservations must be made one week prior to the event. Children below 10 years of age are not permitted.

    Svaram

Svaram Sound Experience Local Tamil artisans handcraft musical instruments from materials such as wood, stone, and metal. The Sound Garden at Svaram, an outdoor oasis of musical installations which allows you to experience sound through touch, is best experienced in the morning quiet. Use your hands to experience meditative vibrating vibrations on the granite Humming Stone, or to rock the Ocean Drum and hear surprising sounds of rolling waves. Sign up for a 45 minute session in the Sonorium. This acoustically-designed room has a variety of musical instruments. Close your eyes and sink into a Nidranantar sound healing bed. A trained practitioner will guide you into an alpha-state through vibrational sounds. This will activate the body’s own healing response.
