Milan will host the ‘World Cup of Fashion’ from February 6th through 22nd. Winter Olympic Games Cortina is the perfect place to start. The Games are set to be the most extensive in history. They will cover 8,500 square miles, between the two hubs as well as their outlying locations. The 2026 Winter Games will be the first ever to have a gender-balanced edition, with 47% of the participants being female, and sustainability at the forefront. There will be 100% renewable energy and the use of existing or temporary venues, including 11 out of 13. An Olympic Village with solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems, as well as urban farming and student dormitories, are also included.
Design Week 64 will be held in Milan, Italy, from April 22nd until 26th. Salone del MobileThe world’s biggest furniture fair. Fuorisalone is the city center offshoot that unfolds in hundreds of courtyards and galleries. Its theme unifies all these spaces. Be the Project is the 2026 theme. It will bring sustainability and the social impact to the forefront, building on Connected Worlds from last year.

This 26-story skyscraper from the 1950s has a protruding roof that resembles a medieval watchtower.
