Despite Denali’s size, there aren’t many hotels where you can see it from your lodging—there are too many other mountain ranges in the way. These eco-domes offer a view of the mountain on clear days. Each dome is equipped with a Snowpeak futon and a king size bed. It also has a desk, chairs, and a chair. The clubhouse also contains a kitchen and a family room. Owners are able to arrange various activities such as helicopter flightseeing, pack rafting, and visits at a sled dog kennel.
Talkeetna, Alaska is about a 2.5-hour drive away from Denali National Park. While you can get a lot done during the long days of summer around the solstice, a stay here would require a long day on the roads. It’s about halfway between Anchorage Denali is also nearby, making it a good place to stop for visitors who want to see them both.
