    • Supergoop released a new Unseen Sunscreen formula with a higher sun protection factor (SPF) and a lighter formulation.
    • The newer version is much better for travel. I’ve tested it out on my sensitive skin and compared it to the older one.

This is a friendly reminder to use SPF. I have had several skin cancer scares, and that was before I turned 25. I use SPF all year round, and have tried many different sunscreens in order to find one that suits my travel lifestyle. My skin is sensitive, so I had to try a lot of them. Supergoop’s SPF products were a big hit when one of my closest friends began working there. Unseen Sunscreen.

Supergoop promised to improve the Unseen Sunscreen in early 2025. It now contains SPF 50, instead of the previous 40 SPF. Supergoop sells 10 SPF products and I wanted to see if the improved Unseen Sunscreen formula would benefit frequent travelers like myself. After using it for 4 months, here’s my review.

    Key Features

    Enhanced Sun Protection

The expert rule is to use SPF 30 or higherI have always used SPF 50 on my face. Supergoop has been my go-to sunscreen for three years. Although they have always offered SPF 30 or 40, the SPF 50 is a great addition for those with a tendency to develop skin cancer. I wear a sunscreen every day. packable sun hat When I am at the beach, or outdoors for a long time. If I forget it at home, or I end up spending more time in the sun than I expected, knowing that I have a higher SPF than my usual makeup SPF 30, I feel much better.

Makeup that can be layered under and over another layer

While traveling, I am often on the go, from the beach, to a restaurant, to sightseeing. I need an all-in-one base sunscreen. Although I liked and used Unseen Sunscreen’s original version, the new one layers under face makeup better. I have very dry, sensitive skin, so the new formula is perfect for me. It hydrates my dry patches and does not leave behind any grease or residue.

The texture initially feels like coconut, but after 20 seconds it disappears. This is perfect for putting tinted foundation or moisturizer on top. I’ve also reapplied the sunscreen over makeup, and to my surprise, it really didn’t change the look or coverage on my face—an improvement I noticed from the original formula that was less convenient to layer.

    Travel-friendly Features

There are many bottle sizes available that fit under the 3.4-ounce TSA limit Liquids. The fact that I can choose from 1.7 ounces (which is what I use the most for traveling), 2.5 ounces, or 0.68 ounces, although this wasn’t a brand new thing with the launch of the products, helps a lot. I have the smallest size of the old formula and keep it with me at all times because it is so small.

This sunscreen is also water and sweat resistant for up to forty minutes. Reapply after drying, or at least every two hours. This sunscreen is not waterproof. reef-safe It contains homosalate as well as octisalate.

The sheer formula mattifies and blurs my pores, while other sunscreens sometimes clog them and prevent sweat beads from forming. The sunscreen is lightweight, allowing my pores to breathe and not get dirty or clogged.

    The Verdict

The Unseen Sunscreen has been my favorite Supergoop product for travel and everyday use. The virtually invisible formula allows for easy reapplication every two hours. And the travel-friendly bottle ensures there is no waste. travel purse Too small to store in.

As someone who has used the older formula I can say with confidence that the Unseen Sunscreen’s newer version is a noticeable improvement that helps me in my busy and frequent-flier lifestyle. I would highly recommend trying out the travel-size bottle, especially if summer travels are on your horizon.
