Marriott CEO Anthony Capuano told investors that hotel demand is resilient, even though booking patterns are becoming increasingly unpredictable and last minute.
Capuano said that his company was “cautiously optimist” in a speech he gave at the Morgan Stanley Travel and Leisure Conference. Capuano said, however, that the increasing macroeconomic pressures had made forecasting a more difficult task.
He said that the only caveat to this feeling was how quickly it can change given the shortness in the booking window.
