This new collection, which embodies the highest standards of French savoir faire, will be implemented across all Sofitel properties by 2026. Comprising 45 pieces, the Vestiaire has been thoughtfully designed to suit all professions and destinations, while expressing an elegant, fluid, and boldly contemporary style — a reflection of the renaissance of Accor’s most quintessentially French luxury brand.
Empowering 25000 employees to embody French Zest
Cordelia de Castellane and Sofitel have created a new wardrobe for the 120+ hotels of the brand worldwide. Cordelia de Castellane, with her experience at the most prestigious French hotels, brings modernity and elegance to the collection while preserving French craftsmanship.
This collaboration, conceived as a celebration for the 25,000 hotel employees of the brand and their culture of personalized service that is inherited from French hospitality, embodies French elegance. This collaboration, with its unostentatious and elegantly flowing Parisian accessories and cuts, breaks the monotony associated with traditional uniforms.
The partnership represents a major milestone in Sofitel’s ongoing renaissance as it continues its global expansion, with 32 new properties planned to open over the next three-year period. These properties all embody the Sofitel Spirit, combining French zest with rich local culture, an commitment symbolized through the “Cultural Link”, an iconic logo which creates a bridge across cultures. The graphic Sofitel Logo is featured in exclusive prints on the new Vestiaire, turning Sofitel’s visual signature into an elegant monogram.
Vestiaire modulare, high-end and evolving
The Sofitel wardrobe is designed with flexibility in the mind. It offers a fashion-forward approach that can be tailored to any role or destination. Cordelia De Castellane is the creative director of the collection. This collection seamlessly blends classic silhouettes and practical needs.
Each piece has been crafted using flexible and durable materials — internationally tested across pilot hotels — to meet the everyday needs of hotel staff. The wardrobe is designed to adapt to different body types, climates and roles.
According to Sofitel’s CSR, each uniform is constructed from high-quality fabrics that can withstand daily use while still remaining elegant thanks to fine details and flawless finishes.
The Sofitel commitment to luxury is also evident in this wardrobe. Developed with Paris Good Fashion, the initiative ensures every step of production respects principles of sustainability, repairability, and recyclability — reducing environmental impact and contributing to more responsible resource management.
Cordelia de Castellane: the creative force behind Sofitel Vestiaire
Cordelia de Castellan’s unique world of creativity is the inspiration for this collection. Her work is a fusion between tradition and modernity. Her vision of luxury blends timeless elegance and creative audacity while subtly blending traditional and contemporary elements.
The Sofitel vestiaire is more than just a uniform. It’s a statement. It is a tribute to the teams who embody Sofitel’s Renaissance. The collection is a tribute to our teams, who are the first to embody the renaissance of Sofitel. This wardrobe should be emotional, precise, refined and chic. We needed someone with vision. The partnership between Cordelia de Castellan and Yves Saint Laurent is the meeting of luxury visions, united by passion for design. Maud Bailly CEO Sofitel Legend Sofitel MGallery and Emblems
Sofitel, for me, is a madeleine of Proust. It brings back childhood, iconic hotels and a specific vision of French Luxury. Sofitel is more than a hotel brand — it’s a way of life, a natural elegance paired with a deep openness to the world. Paris was a major inspiration for this collection — because Paris means effortless chic, cultural richness, precision tailoring, and that uniquely bold creativity. I wanted to create a wardrobe which embodied the sophistication of Paris, the warmth and hospitality of a host family, and the pride that comes with representing your house. These garments were designed to be durable, move with the human body and make each member of the team feel beautiful, proud and free.
adds Cordelia de Castellane.
