    Small Luxury Hotels Launches Wellbeing Collection

    Small Luxury Hotels of the World launched the Wellbeing Collection in a global marketing consortium. 15 global luxury hotels.

    The 15 founding members each promote three pillars: rest, reconnection, and resilience. It means that services and amenities go beyond fitness, healthy eating and therapeutic treatments. They offer “experiences that support mental, physical and emotional wellbeing”.

    Property must meet 8 of 12 criteria. 

    1.  Heartfelt hospitality
    2.  Healthy and complete cuisine
    3.  Meditation and mindfulness programmes
    4.  Environmental sustainability
    5.  Community engagement
    6.  Experience nature in a new way
    7.  Holistic design, atmosphere and ambience
    8.  Guest Inclusion
    9.  The progressive hotel culture and employee wellbeing
    10. Individualised wellness plans
    11. Workshops on Education
    12. Wellness facilities

    Members of the Wellbeing Collection receive an official seal of approval from SLH’s Wellbeing Industry Experts, including spa editor Susan d’Arcy and Dominique Antiglio, founder of BeSophro – an online platform to enhance mental wellbeing and resilience. 

    Richard Hyde is the chief operating officer at Small Luxury Hotels of the World, stated: “Following the increased desire of guests for inner sustainability and wellbeing, we created the Wellbeing Collection, carefully filtering our hotels to spotlight those who offer heartfelt service somewhere peaceful. Where they can immerse their selves in nature based experiences, local culture and educational workshops, as well as wellness-focused facilities. To feel enriched, unplug and relax, and truly relax.

    The Wellbeing Collection includes 15 hotels, including:

    • Euphoria Retreat (Mystras, Greece)
    • FORESTIS (Brixen, Italy)
    • HUBERTUS Mountain Refugio Allgäu (Balderschwang Bayern, Germany)
    • Miramonti Boutique Hotel (Merano, Italy)
    • Oasyhotel (Sam Marcello Piteglio, Italy)
    • Quinta da Comporta (Carvalhal, Portugal)
    • Teranka
    • Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary (Shaba, Bhutan)
    • Gangtey Lodge (Phobijikha Valley, Bhutan)
    • Keemala (Phuket, Thailand)
    • Namia River Retreat (Hoi An, Vietnam)
    • Castle Hot Springs, Morristown, Arizona (US)
    • Rio Perdido (Bagaces, Costa Rica)
    Highlights:

    • Small Luxury Hotels has introduced a Wellbeing Collection of 15 luxury properties worldwide.

    • The collection champions the three pillars of wellbeing: rest, reconnection, and resilience.

    • Hotels must meet eight of 12 wellbeing criteria, covering sustainability, mindfulness, and inclusivity.

    • Properties are reviewed and approved by wellbeing experts including Susan D’Arcy and Dominique Antiglio.
