Neil Jacobs, the CEO of Six Senses ultra-luxury hotel brand, announced his resignation after 13 years leading the brand. He led it through a major brand expansion and its acquisition before IHG’s (InterContinental Hotels Group) pandemic.
Jacobs said in a LinkedIn message on Monday, “I’m stepping aside from the leadership of this company and embarking on a brand new adventure.”
Six Senses has grown from eight Asian beachfront resorts to a global brand, with 26 properties open in places such as Bhutan, Fiji and the Seychelles and over 30 more in the pipeline. The brand is known for its focus on sustainability and wellness. Its rooms cost an average of $1,000 a night.
