Dalata Hotel Group, Ireland’s largest hotel owner and operator, has agreed to a €1.4 billion (about $1.6 billion) sale to a Scandinavian consortium led by Pandox AB and Eiendomsspar AS.
The deal announced on Tuesday splits Dalata’s real estate assets from its hotel operations. It is the result of a strategic review that was launched earlier in the year. It comprises 56 hotels and over 12,000 rooms located in Ireland, UK, Germany and the Netherlands. They operate under the Clayton or Maldron brand.
