    Ruby Hotels unveils its first property in Greece

    Greece: Boutique lifestyle brand Ruby Hotels is opening its first property in Greece in the capital of Athens, which was developed in partnership by Primetown Development. 

    The 114-room Athens hotel will be located on Agiou Constantios 7 near Omonia Square. It will have a ground-floor bar, breakfast area and rooftop terrace. 

    Catherine Hilt said, “We are proud to have secured the project and to be able to share our expertise in converting urban buildings to high-performance lifestyle properties. 

    “Athens represents a thrilling next step for Ruby’s development. The city perfectly embodies a vibrant, culturally-rich destination where our Lean Luxury Philosophy comes to life. In strategic alignment with IHG and our partner Primetown Development we look forward bringing this new hotel to life in Athens.

The signing of Ruby Hotels at Athens represents a unique chance to expand the brand into new locations, and further solidify IHG’s Greek portfolio. We now have 10 hotels open or in pipeline. 

    Sotirios Athinaios added, “We are thrilled to be partnering up with Ruby Group on a new project that redefines modern hospitality in Athens. We want to give new life to this iconic building, and create an environment that reflects Athens’ creative energy and cultural vibrancy. This hotel is more than a property – it’s a statement about the future of Athens as a vibrant, globally relevant destination.” 

    The hotel will open in 2027.  

    Highlights:

    • Ruby Hotels has signed its debut property in Greece, located in central Athens near Omonia Square.

    • The hotel will be developed in partnership with Primetown Development.

    • The 114-room lifestyle hotel will feature a rooftop bar, pool terrace, and private event space.

    • It is planned to open in 2027.
