Club Med, the global leader in premium all-inclusive holiday experiences, has announced a strategic restructuring of its Asia Pacific operations, consolidating three existing Business Units into two integrated entities – East & South Asia and Pacific (ESAP) and China – with effect from May 1, 2025. This transformation is a testament to the brand’s commitment towards a stronger regional focus, unlocking potential for growth, and improving operational agility in priority markets.
This new structure is designed to align Club Med with the distinctive business environment in ESAP, China and maintain the collaborative “One APAC”, mechanism. It will help Club Med solidify its global position as a lifestyle brand that is iconic and to drive the next growth chapter in Asia.
“This move marks the beginning of a new era for Club Med Asia Pacific. Our regional structure is tailored to the unique strengths in China and ESAP. This allows us to focus our strategic expansion on these two regions. Club Med has more flexibility to take advantage of opportunities in key markets, thanks to empowered leadership and a shared glocal view.
Accelerated Growth Momentum for ESAP
The ESAP has seen a strong rebound in the last three years. This is due to high customer retention, new client acquisition and increased capacity, especially in Japan’s Hokkaido region. ESAP has achieved new milestones, such as the renovation and expansion of Club Med Phuket, with the first Family Oasis in Asia, and upcoming renovations at Club Med Bintan.
Rachael harding has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Club Med’s newly integrated ESAP Business Unit, which includes both resort operations and commercial management. She will report directly to Gregory Lanter (Deputy CEO at Club Med).
Rachael is responsible for leading the ESAP Business Unit through the ever-changing landscape. Rachael’s focus will be to ensure a strong brand and customer experience while driving a profitable expansion strategy that cements Club Med’s leadership position both in established markets and emerging markets within the Region.
