    Preferred Hotels & Resorts Adds 18 New Members to its Global Portfolio

    NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Preferred Hotels & ResortsThe world’s leading independent hotel brand is proud to announce that it will add 18 new member hotels to its portfolio globally between April 1, 2019 and June 30, 2019. To celebrate the occasion, I Prefer For a limited period, Hotel Rewards members will earn 2,500 bonus point on stays at participating locations. Ranging from a brand-new and distinguished Texas Inn to a historic castle-turned-luxury-retreat in the Austrian Alps, each of these unique and independent properties offers immersive, authentic experiences that spark curiosity and encourage travelers to discover even more extraordinary destinations across the globe.     • Amara Singapore (Singapore, Singapore) – Lifestyle Collection: Amara Singapore is located in the Central Business District of the city, in Tanjong Pagar. It has undergone a thoughtful renovation that respects its history while renewing commitments to community, design, and comfort. The 389-room Amara Singapore offers a refined combination of tradition with modernity. Interiors are inspired by neighborhood cultural heritage, and the hotel serves as a hub for community. Each guest room offers a tranquil sanctuary, with natural textures and lighting, as well as eco-conscious amenities like filtered tap water and energy-efficient system. Guests are invited to immerse themselves into curated cultural activities, such as heritage walks and culinary workshops.
    • Castello di Velona Resort Thermal SPA & Winery (Montalcino, Italy) – L.V.X. Collection: This luxurious spa retreat is located in a renovated medieval fortress on a hilltop overlooking the surrounding olive groves. It also has its own vineyard. Castello di Velona Resort Thermal SPA & Winery features 45 individually designed rooms and suites – many with private terraces and in-room thermal baths sourced from the estate’s natural hot springs. Enjoy the spa’s 1,500 square meters of full service, indulge in Tuscan cuisine at the two on-site eateries, and sample the Brunello di Montalcino that the estate produces. The region offers a variety of immersive experiences, including truffle hunting, hot-air balloon rides, winery dinners and cooking classes.
    • Green Pastures (Austin, Texas) – L.V.X. Collection: The Bouldin Creek neighborhood in Austin is known for its culinary excellence, artistic sophistication, and historical sophistication. A new inn will open in the fall of 2025 on seven oak-shaded acreage. The estate, which was established in 1895 originally as a farm, now has 63 elegant guestrooms with two distinctive dining options. Mattie’s is a historic farmhouse serving elevated Southern food, while Henry’s is a relaxed bar offering casual fare. Guests are invited to unwind by a serene outdoor pool, stay active in a state-of-the-art fitness studio, and host memorable gatherings in versatile event venues – all set against a backdrop of lush greenery and resident peacocks. Green Pastures is a peaceful and well-connected retreat that offers complimentary bicycle rentals.
    • Himalayas Hotel Shanghai (Shanghai, China) – Lifestyle Collection:
      This contemporary retreat is located in the heart of Shanghai’s vibrant Pudong district. It offers a seamless mix of modern design with Chinese heritage. The hotel is located on top of the Shanghai Himalayas Center which is a cultural and commercial center. It provides direct access the Shanghai New International Expo Center as well as Century Park.     • Imlauer Hotel Schloss Pichlarn (Aigen im Ennstal, Austria) – L.V.X. Collection: The luxurious castle retreat is set in an idyllic alpine gorge below the Grimming mountain peak and is surrounded with the Austrian Alps. Imlauer Hotel Schloss Pichlarn offers 110 individually styled rooms and suites, including the indulgent Private Spa Suite—complete with its own sauna, experience shower, and heated loungers. The hotel offers a variety of dining options where guests can enjoy the best local ingredients and Alpine-Mediterranean food. A wellness center, an 18 hole championship golf course and immersive experiences, from yoga and guided hiking tours to private wine samplings, are also highlights.
