    • Poodle Room at the top of Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which is 67 stories high, is an exclusive club for its members.
    • The social area features striking, poodle inspired decor as well as a stunning bar with views of the Vegas Strip. There are also lounge areas, cigar rooms, private bars, and an omakase 12-seat restaurant.
    • The invitation-only club is open to guests in the Fleur De Lis suites of the resort as well as guests invited by Poodle Room Members and those dining at Ito, a 12-seat restaurant offering omakase.

One of Travel + LeisureThe Las Vegas reporters of’s recently told me the best place to see Sin City was at the Poodle Room, a members only bar on the top level of the Fontainebleau Hotel.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas was named as one of the top 10 resorts in the world. the best new hotels of 2024 The following are some of the most effective ways to improve your own effectiveness. T+L’s annual It List. The bar at the top of the tower, Ito, is located in “the tallest occupiable structure in Nevada,” according a Fontainebleau representative.

The club is 67 floors high and only for members. New Yorker headlines at the beginning of 2024—during its preview phase—when A-listers like Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, Cher, and as the article put it, “more than one Kardashian” showed up to have a drink with Josephine, the bar’s headlining poodle.

It was only when I became curious and decided to go that the idea of a high-rise bar with poodles all over it, which is often purchased by celebrities, came to life. The only way to gain access is to be invited in by a Fontainebleau member, to have a reserved table at Ito and to stay in their $1,500 per night Fleur de Lis rooms. These suites include butler services, luxurious digs and a living area that’s about the size of Nantucket. In my Fleur de Lis suite, I found a bathroom that could certainly rival Caligula’s—or really any Roman emperor’s. Just as I turned on a fountain that would fill a marble Jacuzzi bath beside the in suite sauna, I saw an invitation: The newly opened Poodle Room was extended to guests of hotel’s most-rolling rooms.

After the wedding, which brought me to Las Vegas in the first place, I returned home that evening at 11 p.m., and swapped out my lehenga The Fontainebleau lift took her to the 89th Floor. She wore a black dress with bright red Carel heels. (Often, hotels leave floors unaccounted for—many forego a 13th floor out of pure superstition—which is how the Poodle Room is 67 stories up but on the 89th floor.)

There are plenty of Instagram-worthy moments to be had in the mirrored entrance, but no cameras, phones, or videos allowed. This is strictly enforced. I said I was a Fleur de Lis Guest, was allowed to enter the decked out bar and almost walked into an illuminated full-sized poodle. She was taller and had her head raised, posing proudly in front of the floor-to ceiling glass windows framing Las Vegas. The welcoming committee.

I was astonished. Not so much by the view, though it was impressive, as by the poodle statues, sconces, and patterned lamp shades that might have been left over from a ‘60s haunt the Rat Pack frequented. The napkin underneath my gin and tonic had a poodle on the bottom left corner. And when the dessert trolley arrived, it was decorated with petit-fours (which looked like wax paper) and truffles that were arranged in a way that looked like purple poodles.

The Poodle Bar has a main bar, lounge and a restaurant.

Poodle Room is luxurious, but not quiet. The club’s opulent design fits in perfectly in Washington, D.C. The navy walls blend with the glowing orbs that the poodle statues, sconces, and sconces emit. This creates a ambiance which makes you want to order a second martini. In a similar vein, after three martinis, I found a taxidermied white poodle on a toilet seat in the women’s restroom.

We are no longer in the soft launch stage. Poodle Room has a full-on vibe with hanging lights above the bar, and a small patio. I saw a member smoking near a portrait of a crown poodle labeled in gold script “La Reine”. There are also inviting lounges, a cigar room and a sultry Forneau bar with a floor-to-ceiling-red interior and an impressive collection of art.

Masa Ito, Kevin Kim and the acclaimed chefs Masa Ito have created a 12-seat restaurant called Ito that serves a variety of rare fish from Japan. This restaurant is a contender for a Las Vegas Michelin star and is open to both members and non-members. It may be the best way to get into Poodle Room.
