    IDC MarketScape studied examined the key capabilities and strategies that vendors offering hospitality property management system to the enterprise hospitality market worldwide. The study evaluated and analyzed the strengths of nine vendors in order to promote positive guest experiences. The evaluation also included key capabilities such as integration and partnerships; user experience; innovation; data reporting and analytics.

    The report makes note of OPERA Cloud is a cloud-based platform that supports brands in the hospitality industry. The comfort/midscale segment accounts for the largest share of its clients, followed by the full-service and budget/limited services brands. OPERA Cloud has clients across the hospitality market, including luxury and resort. This is a growing segment for Oracle that offers an opportunity to gain market shares.. The report said, OPERA Cloud offers dedicated functionality to plan, execute, and communicate specific scenarios to hotel staff in order to ensure a smooth experience for guests from check-in through checkout. Customizable screens and workflows allow hotels and chains tailor the user interface to match their brand standards or specific operational needs. Individual customization is available, which allows users to tailor their experience according to their role and tasks.
