This rapidly-developing, culturally-rich country has everything from dreamy beach resorts and arid deserts to vibrant cities. It’s also perfect for thrill-seekers, with its buzzy new openings. With over a decade’s worth of planning Middle East trips, I can tell you why and where it is time to visit Saudi Arabia.

    Saudi Arabia is a popular destination, but it’s relatively undiscovered, so there are fewer tourists and more authentic experiences. Travelers should book flights to Saudi Arabia now, especially with the upcoming events.

    Saudi Arabian Formula One Grand Prix is one of the sporting events. Other sports include the WTA Tour Finals in 2024-26 and, even further away, the World Cup in 2034. Riyadh in Saudi Arabia will also host the World Expo 2030 with the theme of “Foresight to Tomorrow.” The six-month event will focus on technology and sustainability as well as societal changes.

    The country has taken on major projects to attract crowds over the next few years. It has over 600 buildings that date back more than 300 years. Jeddah, with its striking architecture, shopping opportunities and diving experiences, is a must-see on any Saudi itinerary.

    What to do?: The Jeddah edition is a luxury, high-end hotel that features a rooftop bar and private balconies. It’s also located near the F1 racetrack.

    Riyadh
