Hilton has signed an accord to open The Derby London City Curio by Hilton in London Square Mile’s Square Mile early in 2026.
Hilton announced plans to build The Derby London City Curio Collection By Hilton in London’s Square Mile financial district. The new hotel will open in 2026 as part of a franchising agreement with the real estate developer Dominus. This new development will mark the 10th Curio collection by Hilton property in United Kingdom.
The hotel is located in Great Tower Street and will be a repurposed former office building. The hotel, which will include 237 guestrooms and 10 suites with views of London landmarks, will offer 237 rooms. It will have a Rycrofte’s bar, an all-day restaurant and a coffeehouse. Other amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, meeting rooms and private dining areas.
The Derby London City’s location is excellent, as it is close to St Paul’s Cathedral and eight London Underground Stations. The Derby London City is expected to attract both business travelers as well as tourists.
Dominus, the owner of the hotel, is going to manage it through its Dominus Hospitality Platform. The company has worked on the refurbishment and upgrading of the building with a focus in sustainable design.
The new hotel will be aligned to the City of London Corporation Destination City program. This program aims at enhancing the Square Mile’s status as a top business and leisure location. The initiative aims to accommodate an increasing number of workers and visitors in the area.
The Derby London City is joining other Dominus-managed hotels such as Lost Property St. Paul’s London, Hampton by Hilton Bath City and Hampton by Hilton Bath City.
