The best place to start is with anyone who grewup in London In the 1990s, school trips to Brighton’s seaside were a rite-of-passage. Each time I go to Brighton, the memories of feeding tokens into arcades, hunting for rulers with my name, and eating Brighton rock (a hard, striped candies) while huffing over the stony beaches flood my head. To recreate some nostalgia for the screen-obsessed kids in my family tree, it was exciting to find Amira by Luxury Boltholes on Airbnb.

The vast A-shaped structure was a far cry from a traditional school trip. It’s possible I didn’t introduce the kids in our group. Brighton Was it really as I thought? The guests were still happy and ran up the stairs with excitement to check out their rooms. The six en-suites were all beautifully decorated with warm interiors and unique names. Picking one was not easy. The Riviera Suite features a bath with views of the marina. Zen Suite offers his and hers basins. Le Manche Suite boasts a balcony and an open bathroom. I chose the latter. Each room was fully equipped with Nespresso machines and Dyson fans for warmer days—touches that made it feel more like an indulgent hotel stay Then, Airbnb. I wanted every second to be cherished. Each morning, I would wake up early and spend the morning drinking hot coffee while watching the marina come to life, all the while the rest the house was sleeping.

Interiors are sublime: Plush sofas, eclectic furnishings, and cleverly placed greenery offset long wooden tables—an open invitation to socialize, come together, and celebrate, even without cause. The marble island has bar stools surrounding it, and the glass front allows for a view of the sea to be enjoyed with any meal or aperitif.

I will never forget the first night we spent together. Our concierge made sure to call on us upon arrival, making it a special occasion. TGB Spa Adults can enjoy a blow-dry and massage in their rooms. Manifest Chef It was his job to supply the food. He also provided the entertainment by teaching the children how to make pizza from scratch. It might be my favorite thing to do to drink wine as the sun sets and listen to children talk about the things they’ve learned from Andrew.

We had a hard time leaving Amira (some even thought it was unnecessary), but we were only 10 minutes away from the beach and shops when we needed them. Most of our time was spent in the pool. heated poolWe enjoyed the garden and watched the yachts bob on the ocean. Then, at night, we cuddled around the fire pit and listened softly to music. Harry Potter The cinema room. After a day of excitement and sun, we took the kids to bed, but the rest stayed up late in the heated pergola.

Amira exceeded my expectations of creating memories in Brighton. I was able to watch my family eat together, play, and cook together. Instead of reliving my youth, I created new—somewhat more luxurious—moments that will stay with me forever.
