The Execuvue platform provides hotel asset managers with faster insights and better decisions.

Aptech, one of the industry’s leading providers of scalable business intelligence, financial management and planning solutions, today announced Murphy Asset Management as a user of its Execuvue Business Intelligence Platform. Execuvue is being used by the hospitality advisory and asset management firm, Murphy Asset Management, to improve visibility of operating expenses in its portfolio. It will also provide more detailed performance insight to its hotel owner and investor clients.

Execuvue was initially implemented at about one-third Murphy’s 30-plus property portfolio and will be expanded to additional properties by the second half 2025. The system was implemented less than one year ago and immediately helped the company uncover inefficiencies. It also streamlined financial analysis, strengthened reporting, and helped them identify cost savings.

Steve Steinberg said that before Execuvue there was no way to analyze hotel performance throughout the portfolio except by hand, which is extremely time-consuming. Now, we have access to consolidated and comparable expense data all in one place. We can spot anomalies immediately and take actions to optimize our spending. It has changed our working style and made us more efficient.

Murphy Asset Management had a difficult time comparing line-item expenses or GL levels across all the reporting formats Murphy Asset Management used for its clients. Portfolio-wide analysis was a laborious and time-consuming task. Execuvue enables Murphy to consolidate all data and compare it across properties for better financial decisions.

Steinberg said, “Being able to compare line-item costs, such as housekeeping supplies and phone service across hotels of similar size, gives us valuable insight that we couldn’t get before.” It helps us ask better questions and give better recommendations to hotel owners.

Execuvue, in addition to benchmarking and investor reporting, has improved Execuvue’s internal processes. The team is now able to produce more meaningful data and comparative reports for ownership groups with less manual labor.

Sandy Steinberg, the person who is responsible for data analytics and reporting to clients, said that it has made a huge difference in the way we prepare reports. “Aptech’s Execuvue Platform consolidates all data into one platform, so I can create more relevant and detailed reports with less effort.” It’s a one-stop shop.”

The Murphy Asset Management executive committee evaluated other business intelligence platforms before selecting Aptech. Execuvue was the solution that provided the greatest value and matched the needs of the company.

Steinberg said that “Execuvue helped us provide more proactive support to our hotel owners and more impactful insight,” he added. “It is a critical part of protecting asset value and driving profitability across our portfolio,” said Steinberg.

Murphy Asset Management, according to Aptech President Jill Wilder, has a forward-thinking approach in hotel asset management and the use of business intelligence.

Wilder stated that Murphy Asset Management is an excellent example of a way asset managers can use Execuvue for real value. Execuvue’s focus on peer benchmarking, actionable data and smarter reports is exactly what Execuvue supports. We are proud to be partnering with a team that is so dedicated to improving outcomes for hoteliers.”
