UK: The Michelin-starred restaurant from chef Merlin Labron-JohnsonOsip now offers overnight accommodations in addition to its fine dining.

Osip, the former owner of Number One Bruton boutique hotel in Somerset was previously housed there.

The restaurant has now added four bedrooms to its offer, designed by the creative director of Smith & Willis, Johnny Smith. All rooms feature exposed beams, oak flooring and neutral décor, while the two duplex rooms include a freestanding bath tub.

Osip also has a partnership with The Odd Company – a manufacturer of luxury, handmade mattresses. Andrew Seed, the managing director of The Odd Company said: “Everything The Odd Company does is rooted on craftsmanship, quality materials, eye for detail. Merlin’s Osip philosophy is based on these values. The shared emphasis on quality made the partnership feel like it was a natural fit.

Labron Johnson said: “With Rooms at Osip, we set about creating a retreat that combines natural beauty with understated convenience. Every element was carefully chosen — from the handcrafted finishes to the locally made furniture — to help guests pause, breathe, and unwind. It was important to collaborate with partners who shared this philosophy like The Odd Company.

The Rooms at Osip are now open for booking and are priced from £300 per night, including breakfast.

Osip’s growth reflects a trend in hospitality where acclaimed restaurants are blurring the line between eating and staying. Dishoom, for example opened its first guest rooms Permit Room Lodgings is the name of the restaurant that was located in Notting Hill last month.

    Highlights:

    • The Rooms at Osip are boutique hotels in Somerset, run by Osip the Michelin-starred restaurant of Merlin Labron Johnson.

    • The new accommodation includes four rooms, with interiors designed by Johnny Smith of Smith & Willis.

    • Two of the rooms are duplex suites featuring freestanding bathtubs.

    • Osip has partnered with The Odd Company for handcrafted luxury mattresses.

    • It reflects a broader trend of restaurants expanding into accommodation, such as Dishoom’s recent launch of Permit Room Lodgings in Notting Hill.
