Meyer Jabara Hotels has established its presence in Tampa, Fla., by assuming management of the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Northwest/Oldsmar. The property, which has 87 rooms, is located on Tampa Rd. at 4052, only 13 miles away from Tampa International Airport. It’s also within 5 minutes of Tampa Bay, Oldsmar Historical Society Museum and Oldsmar flea market, the largest in the South.
Chas Henry said, Senior Vice President for Business Development and Acquisitions, Meyer Jabara Hotels. The company’s focus is on the Southeast region, with a particular emphasis on Florida.
It is important to note that the word “you” means “you”. Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Northwest/Oldsmar offers a 24-hour fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, and multiple food and beverage outlets to accommodate both business and leisure travelers. There is a free Wi-Fi, conference room, meeting area, business center, as well as a free Wi. There is a cooked-to-order and breakfast buffet every day at the hotel.
Owner Rogatien Kracek bought the hotel about 1.5 years ago. According to Henry, Krecek was looking for a management company with the foundation and principles that Meyer Jabara Hotels has run upon — very family focused and very brand-supportive within the Hilton system.
Krecek said, “I could see a significant change within the first month following Meyer Jabara’s arrival.” “The morale of employees immediately improved.” After 30 days we could see the end of a tunnel. Krecek stated that within 45 days the accounts receivable had fallen to a level of 50% or lower. Accounts payable, occupancy and ADR all improved. He added that it was a win for both the owner and the property.
Dressed for Success
Henry says that the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Northeast/Oldsmar has recently undergone a complete renovation of its guestrooms, as well as its public areas. This investment has helped to reposition the hotel among the best in class hotels on the market. Henry says that it is a hotel of high quality with a solid brand, which will appeal to both business and family travelers visiting Tampa Bay.
Meyer Jabara Hotels, too, is excited to have established a solid foothold in Tampa at a time when this market is growing.
Henry said that Tampa continues to show signs of strong recovery following COVID. It’s one the best-performing markets in the United States and we strongly believe that it will continue to do so. Tampa is a city with great beaches and sunny skies. It also has a vibrant downtown.
Henry continued, “Meyer Jabara Hotels continue to work with excellent ownership groups that have well-located property and strong foundational principals for third-party managing across the United States.” This hotel provides us with a strong foundation in the Tampa Bay area and our ever-expanding Southeast portfolio.
