The Tschuggen Collection is delighted to announce that Hotel Eden Roc will be under new management as of June 2025. Markus Tauss is moving from Engadine, Switzerland to Ticino. The Hotel Eden Roc gains a hotel manager who has a wealth in experience and passion within the hospitality industry. Markus Tauss becomes the youngest manager in the Tschuggen Collection.
In 2013 and 2014, he joined the Tschuggen collection at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel Arosa. He was born in Stuttgart and previously worked for InterContinental Group, Ritz-Carlton group at various locations. After his time with these international brands, he returned to Germany to serve as hotel manager at Schloss Elmau Luxury Spa, Retreat & Cultural Hideaway.
The 37-year old is looking forward to leading the newly renovated Hotel Eden Roc in the upcoming summer. “I am thrilled about my new position in Ticino, and I’m eager to work with my team to make sure that Hotel Eden Roc is one of Europe’s best holiday hotels,” he said. Markus Tauss is set to take over management of the Lake Maggiore Hotel from Simon Spiller on 1st June 2025. Simon Spiller has managed the Hotel Eden Roc with passion for five-and-a-half years but he left his position at the hotel at the end of Febuary 2025.
