Mandarin Oriental It has been announced that it will be managing and rebranding the San Clemente Palace Hotel located in Venice, Italy. The serene, historical retreat is located on a private five-hectare island that offers the privacy of a resort and easy access to Venice’s cultural center. This hotel, located just eight minutes by boat from San Marco Square and offering a stunning view of the Venetian Lagoon is surrounded with curated gardens.
Mandarin Oriental will run the hotel until November 2025 when it will close for the season. A three-phase extensive renovation will then begin. From April 2026, it will be rebranded Mandarin Oriental Venice.
Albion Nord, a design studio in France, will handle the interior renovation. The property will be reimagined with 136 beautifully appointed suites and rooms, which blend Venetian flair with Mandarin Oriental’s signature design philosophy.
The hotel is located in a beautiful collection of 900 year old monastic buildings and gardens, including a 12-hectare ancient garden.The th Century church. Mandarin Oriental Spa The spa will include multiple treatment rooms, a Finnish Sauna, Steam Bath, Multi-sensory Showers, and a Relaxation Lounge. Wellness amenities will enhance the Group’s award winning spa therapies, including a dedicated Yoga Pavilion, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and paddle courts.
The island’s scenic setting will be incorporated into the indoor and outdoor event spaces, while a children’s zone will offer engaging activities for younger guests.
