Switzerland: Lifestyle brand Mama Shelter’s first property in Switzerland will be opened in Zurich on 31 July 2025.
Set to open in the Oerlikon district close to the railway station, Mama Shelter Zurich has been designed by the team’s in-house studio led by Benjamin El Doghaïli. The brand will open its 19th hotel in the world.
The property features 178 rooms, a restaurant, bar, a rooftop lounge, banquet hall, coworking spaces, pétanque and table tennis courts, pinball machines and a fully equipped gym.
The first floor is a hybrid area and features a bar, a terrace with an outdoor seating area, four studios, three workshops, a creative space, and a gym.
On the second floor, Mama’s Garden is a rooftop lounge that offers views of the city. It also serves brunch and drinks such as wines and cocktails.
Serge Trigano is the co-founder and CEO of Mama Shelter alongside his sons Jérémie and Benjamin, said: “Zurich, beyond its banks, is a natural destination for Mama Shelter thanks to its architecture, its lake, its nature, and excellent gastronomy. Mama Shelter is therefore proud to transform an iconic hotel into a Mama Shelter by bringing it up to date and making it our 19th family member.
Cédric Gobilliard, chief operating officer of Mama Shelter“Zürich is a city that is constantly evolving, cosmopolitan and creative, and it shares the values of Mama Shelter, which are openness, friendship and freedom. Our new address will be one of first lifestyle and nightlife spots in the revitalized neighborhood. We hope to provide locals and visitors with a welcoming, fun, and accessible space designed for a sense of community. A place to work, meet, share a meal or a drink… or simply enjoy a convivial moment, from morning until night.”
