MakeMyTrip has announced that it launched a booking platform for international tours and experiences, giving Indians access to over 200,000 different activities in 130 different countries.

The online travel agency, according to Skift’s Co-Founder and CEO Rajesh magow last year, would bring back experiences. MakeMyTrip used to have a similar product before the pandemic. It was put on hold by the company during Covid.

The majority of travel expenditures go towards experiences. Magow said in a press release on Thursday that, “Experiences are a large part of Indians’ overseas travel spending, but discovering and booking them is still one of the most fragmented elements of their journey.”

This move is part of a larger plan that the company has been working towards for many years. Its goal is to become an all-in-one platform for the entire trip, and to keep a greater portion of the journey of the traveler within its ecosystem.

Since the pandemic the company has expanded to several new locations.
