Gale Miami Hotel & Residences is proud to announce the appointment of James D’Agostino as its new Complex General Manager. D’Agostino, a respected hospitality expert with more than 20 years’ experience in Miami’s hotel market, brings a deep operational knowledge and focuses on people first to his role as he leads. In addition to his new responsibilities at Gale Miami, he continues to serve as General Manager of Gale South Beach, underscoring his commitment to the growth and excellence of the Gale Hotels portfolio.
D’Agostino started his hospitality career at the Sagamore Hotel as a doorman. He spent 16 years working up the ranks and became general manager. He has held positions in almost every department including sales, operations, front desk and guest relations.
He has also held pivotal leadership positions at the Hyatt Centric in South Beach, and the Courtyard by Marriott Coconut Grove. Both properties were successfully navigated through the pandemic challenges and he spearheaded the operational transitions and improvements.
D’Agostino’s goal at Gale Miami is to elevate daily operations and enhance guest satisfaction. He will also introduce new cultural programming reflecting the vibrant energy surrounding the neighborhood. Gale Miami offers a wide range of amenities, including spacious condos with balconies and full kitchens. There is also a gym and spa that offer a complete service, as well as refined dining options. Its centrally located location puts guests within easy walking distance of Kaseya Center as well as PortMiami Brickell Miami Worldcenter, and other attractions.
D’Agostino is known for his team-oriented and approachable management style. He leads by example. He is open to communication, has a good understanding of all departments, and believes in the importance of recognition and support.
D’Agostino prepares Gale Miami to host major events in the future, such as the FIFA World Cup 2026. The property has already seen a rise in demand from corporate sponsors, hospitality groups and large event spaces. It is well positioned to provide long-stay hospitality and high-touch service during a momentous time for Miami tourism.
