IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the expansion of its UK & Ireland portfolio with the addition of the Hotel Indigo Torquay. The partnership between The Fragrance Group and this 153-room Hotel Indigo will make it the 26th in the region.
The hotel, located in Devon, the Southwest of England is expected to be open by the second half 2025. The hotel is part of Torbay (also known as The English Riviera), which includes Paignton and Brixham. This hotel is a popular choice for both domestic and international tourists looking to enjoy a short break or sand-and-sea holiday.
Hotel Indigo Torquay was designed to offer guests a unique experience, immersed in the individuality of the neighborhood. There are a number of facilities available, such as a stylish rooftop, sea-facing terraces and a ground-floor bar and restaurant, all with stunning views of Torbay. A well-equipped fitness center and a spa on site offer a variety of treatments.
This agreement with The Fragrance Group marks the hotel company’s ongoing commitment to expanding its portfolio in the UK & Ireland’s leisure market. Hotel Indigo Torquay, which will open Q2 2025, will join the 19 Hotel Indigos already operating in this market. Six properties are currently in development including Hotel Indigo London, Clerkenwell.
IHG Hotels & Resorts operates 363 hotels in the UK and Ireland region, with an additional 33 in development.
