As a featured presenter and patron sponsor of this week’s Americas Lodging Investment Summit Caribbean & Latin America (ALIS CALA) conference, IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) reaffirms its strength and commitment to growth within Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean (MLAC). The nearly 400* open and pipeline IHG properties throughout the region span every segment, encompassing a strategic mix of city, suburban and coastal destinations and offering greater choice for business and leisure travelers.
Across MLAC, IHG maintains a significant Luxury & Lifestyle presence and expects to add 32 hotels spanning its six segment brands in the coming years. This is in addition to the 2024 openings, which include Six Senses La Sagesse Grenada, Kimpton Mas Olas Resort & Spa (Baja California Mexico) Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman. Most of them will also offer branded apartments beyond the guest rooms and suits, such as a Kimpton joint hotel and residence in Tulum.
IHG offers a mix of midscale and iconic brands, including Holiday Inn. There are more than 200 Holiday Inn properties open or in pipeline across the Holiday Inn family. With nine new properties, including a partnership with Candlewood Suites Torreon, the growing avid hotels brand will more than double their reach in Mexico. Atwell Suites is bringing its flexible space to travelers with a design conscience in Costa Rica, as part of a dual brand partnership recently signed between Holiday Inn and Atwell Suites.
Jolyon BULLEY, Chief Executive officer, Americas, at IHG said: IHG continues to grow in Mexico, Latin America and Caribbean. “From idyllic getaways for tropical escapes, to well located destinations for corporate travel and urban escapes, IHG continues solid growth.” Our continued expansion reflects the confidence that owners and guests place in our brands.
