The collected wastes are cleaned, segregated and sent to an Material Recovery Centre (MRC), reducing landfill burdens by recycling and coprocessing. The project, which runs from October to March, 2025, has collected 1,12,097.37 kilograms Waste that is processed in a systematic manner at the MRC
The initiative focuses on waste management and also community engagement and awareness through educational activities and beach clean-ups, as well as shore walks and other activities with local residents, such women and youth from self-help group, sanitation workers and students.
This initiative is aligned with Paathya 2030 IHCL is committed to a circular economy and waste management that prioritizes solutions.
