First Beach, La Push
The film crew has never set foot in the area. First Beach to film the scenes in La Push—they’re actually shot in Oregon—it’s worth taking the trip over to this nearby popular beach that’s managed by the Quileute Tribe and frequently mentioned in the books. Jacob tells Bella the first time about “Cold Ones” while Bella and her friends are on a road trip. This trip, as well as the legends she hears there, is a key element in the rest the series. It also plays a crucial role in the development of Bella’s friendship with Jacob and vampire interest. This is also the last (and first) time she truly bonds with her friends before drifting away.
Bella Italia, Port Angeles
Grab a bite at Bella Italia—a delicious Italian restaurant in Port Angeles, and the site of Bella and Edward’s first date after he rescues her when she wanders away from Jessica and Angela to find a bookstore with information on vampires.
