What she does with her flight time

When I am not sleeping, I do something for my job, whether it’s reading a script, checking my email or writing down something. I’m always writing, be it in my journal or jotting down jokes or ideas. I love it.

How she feels at home when staying in hotels

I do like a little scent situation. I love to burn candles. I am a bath product fanatic. I like to bring a bit of home with me wherever I go. I always bring along a candle or a blanket. My son Leo is usually with me. It always makes me comfortable.

Her tips on traveling with a child:

You have to download as much content from Netflix as you can, my son will need it when he gets older. He likes to run and loves the lounge. When we enter the lounge, he’s having a blast. It’s hard with the kids on the plane. It’s best to give them some entertainment and schedule their nap so they can sleep for at least a part of the flight. You have to sometimes walk up and down the aisle. Sincerity is the best policy. I am not alone. My mom, my friend or a caretaker can help me. We all rotate to ensure that he feels safe in his community. They don’t want to sit that long. The truth is, I’m not a fan of sitting for that long either.

Her top priorities for planning a vacation are:

It depends. It depends. Last year we went to Big Bear and enjoyed the cold. We went to Antigua the year before and absolutely loved it. We had so much fun with the water and all the different activities that we could do. I’m pretty open to anything!

She’s taken the best vacation ever:

Always, it’s the company that you keep. Antigua was the best. It was my mother, my father, my sister, my brother and my son. We stayed there for seven full days. I am a planner. When am I going, baby? Next day we will be flying in the helicopter. What we can! We plan our trips months in advance.

She is most concerned with the hotel amenities she uses:

Sometimes we don’t do a hotel—we’ll do a home or a little timeshare situation, which is also fun—but if it is a hotel, I’m looking for a one that has fine dining. Some hotels have schedules. I might do yoga or a local experience in the morning. You can never go wrong with a beachside. [cabana]. Get under a little umbrella, chill out there, reserve it the day before… girl, you have made me want to go on vacation!

    Next destination:

Bali, Bali, Bali. I am not a woo-woo person, but I do enjoy the vibe. I’m a big fan of anything that promotes wellness. I’m in for the colonic. I’m in for the entire deal. Bali’s food, culture and spirituality seem to be alluring. [there] too. It’s on my bucket list.
